When utilizing insurance, therapists often are required to formally diagnose clients, share client information, and create therapy treatment plans based off of the insurance provider’s requirements, rather than a client’s unique needs. In order to best serve my clients and their unique needs, I am not currently accepting insurance. I may be able to provide you with a superbill (see below).

Depending on your insurance plan, you may have “out-of-network benefits” (contact your insurance to determine out-of-network benefits). If your insurance provider confirms that you have out-of-networks benefits, you may have the ability to be reimbursed for some of the costs you paid for out-of-pocket by submitting a “superbill.” For more information about superbills, click here.
For a quick estimate of what your insurance may reimburse for out-of-network benefits, use this free estimate calculator.

This is a very personal question that we can explore together! EMDR can be helpful for many concerns, the foremost of which is trauma, though it isn’t always for everyone. EMDR has been shown to be effective for reducing the impact of traumatic memories in people’s day-to-day lives and I’ve seen clients receive huge benefit from it. If you’re interested in learning more about EMDR, check out this blog post and set up a free consultation with me here. I provide EMDR therapy and trauma therapy in Salt Lake City and for all residents of Utah (through telehealth).
